As your Public School Board trustee, it is my job to promote and ensure quality public education in the City of Hamilton. I will continue to advocate for Ward 3 parents and students. It is my priority to continue advocating for facility improvements in our core schools to make sure they are ready for twenty-first century learning. Schools are an essential component of our communities and we need to continue supporting them as neighbourhood Hubs. With proper education, all young Canadians have an opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve their full potential.
Our children represent the hope of this country.
Our teachers impart the learning and life lessons necessary to develop
intelligent citizens. As a society,
we need to reevaluate our current priorities to realize future benefits. I believe that dedicated teachers reduce
the pressure on social services.
An adequately funded school system is worth more than 100 new police
officers walking the streets. Most
of all, positive involvement of parents and
grandparents in their children’s education is an immeasurable
source of support to all of us: students, teachers, and members of the greater
community.
